Course Description

This course has been created by the British Science Association to train CREST Award assessors.

The CREST Awards scheme is the British Science Association’s flagship programme for young people, providing science enrichment activities to inspire and engage 5 to 19 year olds. It is the only nationally recognised accreditation scheme for project work in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects.

Silver and Gold CREST Awards are assessed by trained Assessors using the CREST assessment criteria and our online review system.

Who can be a CREST assessor?

Anyone involved in STEM can be a CREST assessor, whether you are a teacher, STEM ambassador, work in STEM or have expertise in a particular subject.

You will be assessing and providing  feedback on Silver and Gold CREST Award projects, typically from 14-19 year old students.

You will be paid per assessment completed,  £6 per Silver and £9 per Gold assessment.
